Maintenance Specialist

Description:  POSITION: Parking Maintenance Specialist DATE OPEN: February 9, 2018 DATE CLOSED: When filled SALARY: $14-17/hour; Based on Experience POSITION SUMMARY: This is a full time Maintenance Position within the Parking Department responsible for preparation of all parking destinations for our guests, maintaining the parking compound, coordinating with the sign department on all orders, building all event and fair time directional signage, and distributing all signage to specific locations. This is a benefited position which offers a competitive health care & leave package. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Prepares all parking destinations including chalking, signage, and barricade set up/removal • Ensures tasks are completed according to deadlines and day-to-day operational needs • Maintains the parking compound to ensure it is clean and safe • Reviews upcoming event calendars on a daily basis to assess and execute event needs • Coordinates with sign shop staff to procure appropriate signage by deadlines • Obtains and distributes appropriate directional signage for all events • Maintains and stores all signage and parking equipment • Work closely with multiple cross functional departments including RV Camping, Event Sales, Marketing and Event Operations  

Requirements:  • Strong customer service skills • Proven ability to work under pressure in an intense environment • Experience with basic maintenance equipment such as leaf blowers, weed whackers and lawn mowers. • Proven problem solving skills • Available to work weekends • Ability to lift 30 pounds, stand 60% of the shift and walk long distances • Have and maintain a valid California Driver’s License • Ability to be forklift certified
