Master Scheduler

Description:  We are looking for an experienced Master Scheduler to work at a Contract Manufacturing-Machine Shop Company in Livermore. DESCRIPTION: Supervise and coordinate scheduling of Shop Floor utilizing the designated shop planning system. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: •Plans and assigns work to achieve optimum efficiency and utilization through the manufacturing areas while limiting or controlling overtime expenses. •Prepare jobs for work centers to maximize spindle run time. This includes but is not limited to; staging material, assuring tools are preset, printing set-up books and assuring proper programs are available in the DNC. •Responsible for integrity of scheduling data. Job completion, dispatch lists, etc.. •Monitor production bottlenecks that impact product delivery of assigned products and alert appropriate department heads in Manufacturing and Management of identified bottlenecks •Attend and participate in production meetings as scheduled •Responsible to enforce compliance to all safety rules. Maintain a safe work environment.. •Other duties as assigned  

Requirements:  EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: •Minimum 5 years work experience in a contemporary CNC Machining Environment •MRP, previous scheduling experience preferred. SKILLS REQUIRED: •Ability to read blueprints •Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written methods •Basic command of Microsoft Office – PowerPoint, Excel and Word PHYSICAL DEMANDS WHILE PERFORMING THE JOB: •Visual acuity: near acuity and accommodation are required for reading machine dial gauges, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts •Hearing ability: ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take appropriate action •Frequently required to stand, walk, push, reach over head, and bend to the floor •Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Salary:  $30.00 to $31.25 per hour
