Description:  POSITION: Events Department Administrative Assistant DATE OPEN: January 12, 2018 DATE CLOSED: When filled SALARY: $14-$17/ Based on Experience POSITION SUMMARY: This is a full time, non-exempt, benefited position providing administrative and office support activities to Event Sales and Operations Departments. This position is the first contact for phone and walk-in clients. Successful candidates will have a proven track record as a self-starter and computer savvy individual. RESPONSIBILITIES: Greeting guests and clients Fielding telephone calls, filing, data entry Composing correspondence Distributing mail and other communications Creating and analyzing spreadsheets in Excel Crafting Power Point presentations Monitoring office equipment Organizing sales materials Monitoring, ordering and tracking supplies for all Events Departments Researching and analyzing special projects Conducting customer tours Managing calendars and monthly schedules Coordinating and scheduling meetings in Outlook Calendar Maintaining the Event Sales Office in presentable condition at all times Supporting management staff with reports, travel arrangements, meeting set up, etc. Acting as a marketing liaison on marketing projects to ensure timelines are met Assisting with Decorating orders, sales, commercial vendor information distribution and other Fair-time duties as needed All other duties as assigned  

Requirements:   High level communication skills both written and verbal Strong Computer Skills, must be proficient in Microsoft Suite and have ability to learn new programs Proven Intermediate skill level in Excel Proven ability to handle fluctuating workloads in a fast paced environment with changing deadlines Ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff as well as outside clients and vendors Professional attitude and appearance Excellent Customer Service skills A proven self-starter Ability to work flexible schedules Ability to work independently or as a member of a team Experience working with financial statements and budgets a plus Able to sit for long durations, lift 20lbs. and walk up to 5 miles as part of the day to day experience Attention to detail
